Throughout history, Arabs and Muslims, since the establishment of the Islamic Arab state in the East and West, excelled in various fields of science and knowledge, including astronomy, mathematics, medicine, pharmacy, and botany. In the field of botany, Arab and Muslim scientists took a leading role, delving into the science and applying it to agriculture and medicinal purposes. Additionally, plant science underwent significant development during the Abbasid era in Iraq, becoming one of the primary sciences of that time. The emergence of the role of scientists during that period, along with the production of numerous works and books, deserves further study.
