Abstract

Salim Barakat, a Syrian poet and novelist, took it upon himself to translate the suffering of the Arab countries, and to convey the voices stuck in the mouths of the gagged. Historical events in a poetic way and in distinctive ways, investing his vast imagination in drawing his poetic images. The research was an attempt to present the issue of documenting historical events in literature.
