Abstract

       Bedoon novels are an important and rich source for understanding the concept of belonging and identity. We find that these novels presented complex stories that reflected a painful journey in search of identity and belonging. These novels dealt with the challenges of belonging and the internal conflicts that accompanied the Bedouin individual. We find how the Bedoon seeks to achieve belonging and connection to his homeland. Belonging represents the essence of identity
