It is a common phonetic phenomenon in ancient Arabic dialects and still exists in some of our modern colloquial dialects. It is the transformation of the fatha to a kasra, and the transformation of the letter "A" to" Y" (in Arabic). Its purpose is to achieve phonetic harmony, symmetry, proportion, and convergence between sounds, which leads to ease of pronunciation, and this is what the Arabic speaker seeks
