Abstract

     The Arab heritage greatly expanded on the names of cold (low temperatures) and its characteristics, as details were mentioned in the characteristics of cold, which we do not find in contemporary climatic sources. Where It refer to cold in terms of its severity, the weather phenomena accompanying it, the benefits of cold, its causes, and its effect on humans and plants. The heritage mentioned cold with wind, rain and wetness, clouds, disease, hunger, high prices, and plants. In ancient times, the Arabs also predicted cold through the stars.
