Abstract

The research dealt with the study of astronomy among the Arabs through the book (Nihayat al-Arab fi Funun al-Adab) by Shihab al-Din Ahmad bin Abdul Wahhab al-Nuwayri (d. 733 AH / 1333 AD), which included the linguistic aspect in defining astronomy and the technical aspect in defining astronomy through the Holy Quran and the hadiths of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and the sayings of ancient and modern historians about it.
