Abstract

        This research aims to study the controversial grammatical issues in which Al-Makhzoumi disagreed with the Basrians and agreed with the Kufians in his writings. This research focuses on presenting the grammatical disagreement between the grammarians of the grammatical schools on each issue and then presenting Mahdi Al-Makhzoumi's opinion on these issues. The aim of this research is to shed light on Mahdi al-Makhzoumi's opinions on grammatical controversies, explain his position on them, and how he addressed them with explanation and criticism. It also explains his position on the opinions of the Basrians and the Kufians, and his position on the grammatical factor and whether he was able to find a suitable alternative to the theory of the factor.
