Abstract

Writing about a city puts in the reader’s hands valuable and important information about that city, let alone if this city were Iraqi, from a country of civilizations. It contributed to supplying the scientific movement in Iraq with a number of scholars, jurists, readers, hadith scholars, and narrators. Therefore, the research shed light on the city of Al-Dur, describing it as one of the cities in Iraq that contributed to its scientific and intellectual renaissance.
