Abstract

Generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) is a more advanced and modern type of artificial intelligence that became popular in late 2022. It uses machine learning techniques and deep neural networks to simulate the human ability to create new data or original and innovative content, such as texts, images, and videos. Generative AI models can generate outputs of the same type as inputs, such as text-to-text, or of a different type, such as text-to-image or video. Given this potential, how can it be employed in historical research?
