Abstract

This article attempts to summarize the events experienced by the Zayani state in Tlemcen in particular and the Maghreb in general, after the fall of the Great Almohadist state, and its fragmentation between the neighbors of warring brothers and Andalus Wahid besieged by the kingdoms of Christians. The Zayani state was fortunate to have fallen between two powerful neighbors east and west, which were bound by confrontation and steadfastness for the most part.

It provided a definition of the Tlemcen kingdom, in terms of the lineage of the founders, and the accompanying great attempts to prove it, and its delivery to the Holy Prophet's House, because of the religious legitimacy and spiritual leadership.
