Abstract

      The idea of the research entitled “Types of Body Signs in the Iraqi Novel (2003–2023)” is summarized in observing the types of body signs
 that appear in narrative texts. The body has its own language, which can be interpreted through movement, stillness, and gestures. Body language may be more eloquent and expressive than spoken language.
 It may manifest through the movement of the hands or legs, eye signals, or through olfactory, auditory, visual, or vocal signs
