Abstract

This study sought to examine the morphological meanings of the sources and the influence of context on those meanings, which varied according to the diversity of the maqamas—which resemble short stories—in which the author demonstrated his linguistic and literary mastery. Consequently, the meanings of the sources varied and shifted depending on the context in which the maqama was written.
