During World War II and after its end, many African organizations or Negroes of African descent became active. These organizations demanded political and social rights for Negroes all over the world. Despite the apartheid policies that were applied in both the United States and South Africa, Negroes were able to be active in Britain and worked to hold organizations and conferences to demand their rights.
