Abstract

        Ancient Iraqis viewed women with reverence and awe, considering them goddesses of childbirth and responsible for fertility and growth. While their opportunities in some aspects of life were less than men's, society's view of them later became limited to their responsibilities within the home and family, including fulfilling its needs and raising children.

Mesopotamian society valued writing as a means of expressing thoughts, a tool for communication, and a mechanism for organizing society. Learning it was therefore essential. Initially, it was limited to specific social classes, particularly the clergy, the nobility, and government officials. The first schools were located in temples
